Background on UNM News and its predecessors. . .
UNM News officially started in fall 2011, but it had two predecessors: Campus Reports and U News. Campus Report, or Campus Reports, web newscasts date back to 2007 and can be found on the Internet by going to “YouTube” and searching “Campus Report” AND “University of New Mexico” or searching “Campus Report” AND “University of New Mexico”AND “Vimeo.” You may also use the name of one of the broadcast journalism students who contributed to that webcast, or even a source.
In the spring of 2010 the Department of Communication and Journalism with support from University Communication and Marketing launched a student-produced web-based newscast, titled U News. You can find these newscasts on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/U-News/262509394171
